MaxMod 1.23

BlitzMax Forums/BlitzMax Module Tweaks/MaxMod 1.23

REDi(Posted 2008) [#1]
Latest version of maxmod is now available...

http://code.google.com/p/maxmod/

* Fixed non-looping streams stopping to early with the DirectSound driver.
* Much improved mod/xm playback.
* Seperated ogg streaming into its own module, so you now need to import maxmod.ogg if you want to use ogg files.
* Added maxmod.mp3 (windows only).

Please let me know if you find any problems.

(could a mod please lock the 1.16 thread, as it doesnt relate to the way maxmod works now and could get confusing to noobs - *EDIT* Thanks!)

Hi Redi! Thanks a lot for the upgrade :D

The problem with the loops and the early end of the songs appears to be fixed! thank you again!

But there is something more that i noticed, in the loops sometimes appears to be a little sound failure when the song ends and the new loop start, this doesnt appears always but it appears a lot. I only test it with oggs.

If you fix this then will be perfect for using it on my game :D

Hi Josepho

Thanks for the bug report, I think I've fixed the problem.
I've gotta go to work now and dont have time to update the download until tonite, but if you've got SVN access you can get it now.

Josepho(Posted 2008) [#6]

Download is updated.

Josepho(Posted 2008) [#9]
REDi now the loop starts a lot more early of the end of the song, about in half the song! :(( and when we dont have the looping activated the songs ends a lot more early than before too :/

REDi(Posted 2008) [#10]
LOL, I've fixed that now, just checking it *thoroughly* before updating :)

I think when I tested it last I run the wrong code which was using a beta c++ (threaded) version of maxmod, DOH! damn stoners :)

GfK(Posted 2008) [#11]
Oh damn you to bloody hell!

I only installed the last version two days ago. :D

[edit] Ah - I'll wait for the fixed version. :)

REDi(Posted 2008) [#12]
Updated again, now on version 1.25

Sorry for the mix up guys.

Karja(Posted 2008) [#13]
Hmm... I've used 1.22 and didn't notice any particular problems. But new is always better, so thanks for the update! :)

Josepho(Posted 2008) [#14]
Hi REDi, i have been testing it deep, at least with the directsound driver and now works perfect :D

Thank you ^_^ you are the best

REDi(Posted 2008) [#15]
But new is always better

Not always, at least not when I'm involved ;P

Anyway, glad it's working now.
