Everything looks good but the LEFT TOP icon in the titlebar of application window.

No guarantees though ;o)

Cool, YanCanCode

Tidied up and converted the info into an html guide.
Let me know if you have problems. Thanks.

Hmm, Jim, your guide works well (thanks) for the icon to be on the task bar and as the exe icon but it doesn't show in the top left of the graphics window (created with a depth of 0 so it's in a window). I checked out the thread above (in Ian's post) but couldn't really get to the bottom of if there was a conclusion or not and it sorta lost me somewhere.

Any ideas?

[edit] I've sorted out a separate solution myself here:

but I still use Jim's code to include the icon in the .exe automatically, which is cool. Best of both worlds.

Thanks Jim! I prefer this method.

Can I use a similar technique please for the executable icon? Is there a way I can change the exe icon as easy? Perhaps via a batch file?

Yan(Posted 2006) [#8]
This *is* for the executable icon?

Robert Cummings(Posted 2006) [#9]
Yeah I'm thick :) I thought it just showed in the running window only... don't ask why.

Chris C(Posted 2006) [#10]
real suprise is that bmk *still* can't do this...

Robert Cummings(Posted 2006) [#11]
Actually that IS a big suprise. After all its only a little text file, a little .o

I'd love to do this on macs too. How do macs handle this stuff?

Grey Alien(Posted 2006) [#12]
let me know when you find out ;-)
