LION from scratch?

BlitzMax Forums/BlitzMax Programming/LION from scratch?

Hi guys! Had a quick question. I've been programming an app on OS X Leopard 10.5.8 and Windows Vista 64. Very pleased that I can simply copy my whole dev directory from one to the other, compile and run perfectly on both platforms.

Now I've heard some people have some trouble if they UPGRADE to Snow/Lion.

Well, in my case, I'm considering buying a brand NEW Mac, which I assume will have Lion on it - plus whatever new xcode is needed.

So, first, can I install on the new Mac or do I need a new license?

When I do, can I copy my dev directory as I've been doing and it will run alright?

Just want to check these things before I invest in a new Mac. Thanks!

Upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion to Mountain Lion. No problems.

if you get a brand new mac, it will ship with mountain lion. I just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. had to upgrade some apps and scripts for Inkscape don't work anymore.

Use the latest version of BlitzMax, install latest XCode and everything will run fine.
