| I am creating a car doging game and need a name. | Names, title or phrases are not themselves subject to copyright in their own right. Such items may easily be duplicated by coincidence, and are therefore not considered unique or substantial enough to be awarded copyright protection in their own right. Copyright laws are actually very restrictive, and to apply these laws to items that may be duplicated coincidentally, or that may be legitimately used in unrelated instances, (such as a name, title or phrase), makes no sense. Generally it is assumed that all parties with a similar name or product name wish to protect the integrity of that name, but do not in law own that name. The only times the Law is considered to have any involvement is when one product/company is trying to pass-itself off as the another one. So when it comes down to it, unless dodge-it is a name of another game I would still consider using it. [Im not a lawyer, but was given business legal advice a couple of years ago] |

| I would be wary of that name, Road Rage is a game made by EA, I believe, we all know EA are nice and friendly etc.. :P They wont look kindly to someone using the name. |

| You mean The Simpsons Road Rage? Well the thing is I'm not using the Simpsons part, just the road rage part which isn't copyrighted. Anyhow if anyone can come up with a better name that isn't listed in google they i will have the name changed. Sincerely, Road Rage Revolt |

| Road Rage III This is the game I was thinking of, it was a while ago so maybe you will be ok, I'm not sure if Road Rage 1 or 2 ever made a big impact or not. Some name ideas I can think of: Dodge or Die, Chicken!, Humanner (take on Frogger :P), Dodgey, Man v Car. Last edited 2011 |

| I tried all the suggest names above, but all are already the names of excisting games,movies,sites,etc. I like the Super Rush Hour Traffic Dash idea, but it's too long for the domain name my players will get arthridus before they even play it! I tried using the first letter of every word, but it just looks like mumbo jumbo. Any ideas on a shorten version for the domain would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Name Me Please |
