..hi guys..I know there are some frameworks for 2D games out there, but i would appreciate if someone could post list of all known 2D Bmax frameworks (OSX,Win,Linux) available, regardless are they commercial or not. What does matter is only are they available or not. Thank you in advance.

I know of these:

RRFW: http://code.google.com/p/retroremakes-framework/ (Win/Linux/OSX)
Horizon: http://intermediaware.com/developers (Win/Linux/OSX)

MBM Framework

Of the ones suggested, has anyone actually used them?

I've looked at Ignition, it's pretty nice. I'm impressed with the Defenstar game created with it. It's nicely object oriented for collision events and pretty well designed.

I use RRFW. Nicely OOP oriented, customisable game services, easily extended, feature complete, solid performance and smooth gameplay (and I'm creating a shooter game which has to be fast and smooth)

Thanks you two.

I've given them a look and am impressed. I guess my concern now though is with regards to whether they can be moved across to Monkey without issue and to XNA (which I imagine may cause some issues)

It's nice to be using BlitzMax again though.

From a RetroRemakes Framework point of view, I will definitely be looking at what we can do with Monkey when it's released.

That's very good to hear :)
