Has anyone made any tools to convert BMX code to C++?

beanage(Posted 2010) [#2]
Depends on what code you use them for i guess :P. Dont convert your engine to C++. Just dont do it :/

There was an online converter like that, but in most cases the code produced will be buggy and quite horrible.

I thought the Leadwerks engine was already available for C++?

At anyrate, I don't know of any good automatic convert that is nice and clean.

I don't expect anything that is accurate and will convert a project ready to compile.

Why dont you write your own, perhaps as a Blide-AddOn? There's kudos to gain there I guess.

Why would you want to convert your max code to C++?

xlsior(Posted 2010) [#8]
Probably because C++ is much more widespread and probably easier to market, regardless of the strengths of Blitzmax it's still a niche-language.

I remember him saying awhile ago about compiling 64bit code, and from what I understand Blitzmax is never going down that road.

It may take a while but I could see it being fairly easy to port anything done in max to c++.
