Anything different from Vista? Is there any easier way to set this up than a bunch of system hacks?

If you requiere to compile C or C++ code, install MinGW as you would on Vista. Otherwise, as long as you don't have BlitzMax on program files, it should work 'out of the box'.

I did a straight file copy of my c:\minGW folder from Vista to windows 7 this weekend, added the system environment variables, and everything is working like a charm.

Had to restart after installing mingw.
