It seems Max3D need to be compiled under MinGW 5.1.4 on Windows platform, I'm thinking update my MinGW installation, but I don't know what it'll cause if I make such change.

BTW, the FASM thing also confused me, as I didn't actually encounter problems placing higher version FASM into BlitzMax, it works, however I didn't see significant change.

If I change my MinGW installation to 5.1.4, will I:
1.Have diffucult build official BRL modules?
2.Have difficult build 3rd party modules?
3.Cause potential problem with modules compiled with lower version of MinGW?
4.Get better or worse optimization with modules built with it?
...etc?

I'm using MinGW 5.1.4 with Blitmax and it works fine. No problems with BRL modules or user modules.
