Hell I know everyones harping on iPhone support why not PPC Linux support then we could code for PS3's etc :)

Hey, let's go all the way. I want to program my WII with Blitzmax - tell me how to do that? :-)

Winni(Posted 2008) [#3]
He's got a point there - at least there already exists a working BlitzMax PPC compiler...

Would it really take advantage of the multiple cores of the cell chip though, given it is not even multithreaded?

Winni(Posted 2008) [#5]
No, it wouldn't. But no-one keeps you from launching and synchronizing multiple processes... :-p

Damien Sturdy(Posted 2008) [#6]
Ehh... Doesn't PPC Linux use a single core? so launching more than one process is useless.

Another perfect example of where threading would be a godsend...

Cygnus, you tell me. I don't have a PS3 with Yellow Dog Linux on it. What's Linux telling you on that machine?
