http://www.blitzmax.com/Products/blitz3dsdk.php I guess you could call this the Max3D that every one has been waiting for. Not only that but the library, headers files, whatever you call it, can be included to work in C++ too!!! Funny, I was just about to buy Blitz3D, so very happy I waited! Great job Mark, I knew you could do it:) (Just give me a few days to search my sofa for some cash :) |

Thank you Captain Obvious. ;) http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/topics.php?forum=120 |

I haven't been on this site in a few days. I was about ready to get up and dance. Ha:) I wounder how many people already bought it? Did you Gfk? |

I guess you could call this the Max3D that every one has been waiting for. I like the way everybody seems to know exactly what I want. I like many other BlitzMax users haven't actually been waiting for Max3D. I'm very happy with what I've already got thanks. But I am glad you've finally got what you've been waiting for :) |
| ||
You really want it, you just don't know it;) |
| ||
I guess you could call this the Max3D that every one has been waiting for. Cool!!!! I'm going to start up my Linux immediately and try it out ! :-) |
| ||
It's Xplatform? |
| ||
Nope. And as far as I can see you can't use Max2D commands. |
| ||
I wounder how many people already bought it? Did you Gfk? Nope, and I won't until I'm convinced it offers something over and above what I can do with Blitz3D. |
| ||
No, it's not the Max3D everybody's been waiting for, because this SDK is Windows only. Max3D is supposed to be multi-platform. However, this will be a great migration tool and solution for Blitz3D and Win-only users. |
| ||
You must already have Blitz3D, right? |
| ||
You must already have Blitz3D, right? Yes, I've had Blitz3D since the day it was released. |

Mark's shift from Max3D to this is probably better in the long run (at least for the 'professional' crowd). Can't wait to see Purebasic programs using it ;) (PB's OGRE still has a long way to go) Would still like to this as part of BMax (even as an additional cost module), so that cross-platform capability could be realized. I guess you could call this the Max3D that every one has been waiting for. Well I don't know about "everyone" but the Blitz3DSDK doesn't really appeal to me in nearly the same way the Max3D I'm (in theory) waiting for. Mark's shift from Max3D to this is probably better in the long run (at least for the 'professional' crowd). Marks's shift? Mark is, as far as I'm aware not at all involved with this project. Last I heard he was working on runtime reflection in BlitzMAX. The only shift Mark has done as I recall is regarding the form of his products. From suppling middleware, to supplying a complete product - which for all anyone knows, might have been the plan all along, so doesn't really qualify as a shift. |

This was released because there will be no max3d as the current userbase wants it. it will be a rad-ish, unreal editor like situration going on mark's last worklog. in effect, he's waved goodbye to the coders and hello to the moneyhats. |
| ||
Argh! No! Not this again! |
| ||
Well, I liked it the few days I was working with. But I joined a devteam and they use another engine which I'll get for free so no need anymore for the B3D SDK. But it's really cool and easy to use. Just like Blitz3D itself. |
| ||
But isn't the SDK still only DirectX 7? |
| ||
This was released because there will be no max3d as the current userbase wants it. Your ignorance is baffling. it will be a rad-ish, unreal editor like situration going on mark's last worklog. Really? I can't wait to get my rad unreal situration [sic] on! in effect, he's waved goodbye to the coders and hello to the moneyhats. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse. If you're deluded enough to think you can make a game (never mind a next-gen one) without tools and programming, you need help. Professional help. Now. |
