Following Bots instructions Im trying to make a mod of a load of common Types.

OK, one of them has some drawing commands in it, and framework assistant tells me I need to import one of the max2ds either gl or d3d7.

Now does it matter which one I import, or is it just importing the prototypes so they are the same?

You should be fine with just Max3D IIRC, so you shouldn't import either.

Yes, as long as you're not using anything specific to the OpenGL or DX7 implementations, you should only require Max2D.
