I updated my HGE module to work with 1.6 a while ago. So yes, I'm using it. There were a few annoying changes which meant that old code got broken, but I rewrote the module to hide those from users so that pre 1.6 code works unchanged.

Amazingly, this was found in a normal, run of the mill, every day, internet search engine.
On the other hand it might be :

Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE)
