Hi,

I've decided to create a specific thread about 3D water simulation made with shaders.

If you have found a good 3D engine that can dsiplay amazing water, and underwater, please post here!

For example Gabriel posted this link that is with a VERY impressive water!

Here's a paper with demo and what have you of a nice water shader that can run on fairly low spec cards.

WOW!!!!

At the end of the day though, if you have a shader engine you should be able to get the same water with any engine so long as it supports the same shader model. Just need someone that can code to create or edit an existing shader, and optimize it enough that its useable in an actual game, rather than just being a pretty demo..

btw there are shaders for underwater in the demo but no way to see it...

This render looks even better that reality! Excellent stuff!

... but how is this related to Bmax programming?
How does relate ?

It's borderline, I agree. But it's about programming, and Blitz3D and BlitzPlus can't do shaders at all. BlitzMax doesn't have them built in, but lots of us are using them in various engines, include some like Thierry Myke's which were written specifically for BMax.

I suppose youre right. It is of interest tho.
