Changing Executable Icon

I want to be able to change the default icon used for the executable/shortcut. Does anyone here know how I can do this? I was using IconForge but trying to save a new icon doesn't work because no icon exists for the program already (it wanted me to save an icon that was sized 0x0). If someone has changed a BMax executable icon before, could you point me in the right direction?

Two common ways:

1.Get BLIde http://www.blide.org and buy it's ICON plugin.

2.Use ResHacker http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/, which can inject ICON data to a exe (even there's no ICON originally).

Thanks I'll check out resource hacker.

Jim's method is better than ResHacker.

It's a one-time work when you built the icon import file, and you don't have to add the icon in ResHacker every time.

I use Jim's method. Use to use Reshacker until I found it.

But not with icon with transparent background, there is some graphics glitch.
