I left the Max IDE running all night tonight, and when I got up this morning, I couldn't even open an app, my PC would hardly respond and the mouse was moving about like it was mired in molasses. I have not had a problem like this before, so I suspect that the IDE was somehow the cause of it, or perhaps an app which was running in the background after a bug caused it to malfunction.

If a Blitzmax app is running, what will the process be called? Will it have the same name as the exe? In Blitplus, I think it was always Blitzcc.exe.... I had to shut a lot of those down manually, but they never locked my PC up like this.

It is MaxIDE.exe and BMK.exe if you are building anything.

If a bug occurs in a program which is being debugged, it isn't shut down. You need to press the stop button in the IDE to shut it down and sever links. I've never caught it using much CPU time, but maybe it would on single core CPU's.
