kool, just as soon as Linux Bmax works with nvidia chips I'll be trying this out!

splinux(Posted 2006) [#3]
You only need to have installed the webcam, and that the driver is video4linux compatible.

With the newest update(not online actually), i've resolved the resolution problem, so now all supported res are accepted, and improved pointer passing beetween c and bmax.

The v1.5 will be soon online, with many many many bugs solved.

I have been successful in getting Linux BlitzMAX to work on my Kubuntu 5.10 / NVIDIA GeForce 6200 combination.

bloody 'ell how did you manage that glgraphics and create canvas fails *totally* with a 6600gt I could get a convext with a fx5200 but canvas's (canvii??) failed to make a depth buffer...

seems strange cause I've compiled sdl code that works in windows and linux without source changes.

I've also run win32 compiled exe's in linux and they have run perfectly

anyhow this takes away from the fantastic achivement thats the web cam module if only brl took the nvidia/linux problem seriously then people would *use* it...

splinux(Posted 2006) [#7]
i hope you'll try it soon.
