Hi all, I'm pleased to announce the release of my Logger module for Windows, MacOS X and Linux. You can download it here: http://www.muttleyville.org/software/Logger_Module_1-0-Release.zip It gives you the ability to create log files with a variety of settings and send messages with different severity levels to them. I hope someone finds it useful, and if anyone has any suggestions or modifications to the module code (included), please let me know. Here's an example of how it's used (there's a sample in the archive too): SuperStrict Import Muttley.Logger 'Create a Log file called debug.log, a description of "Debug Log File" and set To overwrite any existing 'Log file. Also rotate the Log file when it reaches 10485760 bytes in size (10MB) And set the Default 'Log level To Error messages only. Local logTest:TLogger = CreateLogFile( "debug.log", "Debug Log File", True, 10485760, LOG_ERROR ) 'Write an entry to the log file logTest.WriteLogEntry( "This is a test LOG_INFO message for the log file", LOG_INFO ) 'Change the log file level logTest.ChangeLogLevel( LOG_INFO) 'Close the log file logTest.CloseLogFile Cheers Muttley
