Hi there, I was seeking to halve my vid mem texture usage to fit the game in 8 meg cards, by selecting 16 bit colour, but I came across a post by skid: skidracer (Posted 10 months ago) Screen depth does not influence images in Max, masked and alpha images take 4 bytes per pixel, others use 3 bytes per pixel of vidmem. There are also 1 byte per pixel formats only used by imagefont glyphs at this time. Is this still the case? Bearing in mind it was a long time ago. Will a 16 bit texture flag be possible? |

Is this still the case? Bearing in mind it was a long time ago. Yup. Pixmaps don't have 16-bit formats. |
