Networking/Multiplyer
Can anyone give me an update on this topic?

I read about Bnet which mimic the function of UPD and TCP of BlitzBasic. Seems really good and I'm going to try to build an test app with it tomorrow.

But even the info on Bnet is vague. Does it have full support for all platforms? Should there be any problems when using it? If it works like BlitzBasic this seems like a brilliant solution but then why isn't it an offical module?

Are offical network support planned for BlitzMax? If someone by chance would have more information on this please share, because multiplayer is an important part of game design! Are we talking months/years?

Or I'm I the only one around here even remotly interested in networking?

Yes! Mark mentioned somewhere that a network module was "planned".

As far as I am aware there is no time horizon as to when it will be released.

No.

Shouldn't networking have it's own forum?
Depends. You could certainly argue both cases. I'm afraid the general consensus around here is that there's already quite enough low activity fora.

Yeah, there was once one, but he cleaned it up.

My reason for wanting a network specific forum is that finding information on the topic will be sooo much easier.
