BlitzMax BASIC-based game programming engine with OpenGL API support December 10, 2004 BlitzMax is the next generation of the Blitz BASIC-based game programming language which supports function pointers, fully dynamic arrays, inheritance and polymorphism, Byte, Short, Int, Long, Float and Double numeric data types, flexible 'collection' system for dealing with linked lists etc, external language support for interfacing with C/C++/ObjectiveC or assembly code and more. Using the OpenGL module, you can use BlitzMax for direct OpenGL API programming. A module based on the the OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library provides support for all OpenGL API extensions. Available now for MacOS X with Win and Linux to follow.
