rendering problem

So I looked at those nehe-tutorials... There seems to be a problem with rendering polygons and quads right, I don't know if it is the depth sorting or something else. I changed nothing in the code. Here's a pic of what the rendering of the quads for the box in tut 5 looks like:

Funny thing: I ran the examples a year ago and I didn't have this problem.
Oh, I run it on a first generation iMac (PPC, on board graphic card).
