Surely it's not dead already??

Warren(Posted 2006) [#2]
*snicker*

simonh(Posted 2006) [#3]
It's working here.

Booticus(Posted 2006) [#4]
Its working here too Phil74! Maybe your ISP? Here's a link to the forums directly just for fun:

Of course....there's not been much of any updates lately....might explain WarrenM's snicker. :) Guess Ant has a history with 3d engines.

N(Posted 2006) [#5]
Ant hasn't been seen since Sunday. As for the site, works fine.

BODYPRINT(Posted 2006) [#6]
OK, works now. must have been out for the day.

Nikko(Posted 2006) [#7]
Aurora is dead?

Dreamora(Posted 2006) [#8]
It went opensource

Nikko(Posted 2006) [#9]
Yes but where?

H&K(Posted 2006) [#10]
It went opensource, then whoever was hosting it got hassle from Ants Ex-customers, and now it doesnt exist. (Well it exists, but I dont think its hosted anywhere, might be wrong tho)

Russell(Posted 2006) [#11]
This could be useful as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Blender

...and it supports rigid body dynamics...
...and it's Open Source...
...and it can be extended via Python scripting...

This seems not too shabby as well: http://www.garagegames.com/products/1 (Torque Engine)

..although it doesn't, as yet, do dynamics etc.

I dont know about the shader version but I found torque to be rather poor... with colour bleeding on interiors and difficult to use tools

Picklesworth(Posted 2006) [#13]
I wonder if those particular ex-customers will still mind if it is released as free open source software...

Could be a good exercise in setting up a wiki.

I'm sure they've noticed the error in their ways by now!

ckob(Posted 2006) [#14]
i dont see why they would care that it go opensource? Development for it stopped so wtf.
