2d terrain

i am working on a 2d game but it needs something like a terrain so i thougth that could be createt and renderd with ogl, but i don't know anything about ogl. can someone tell me how this could work.

Umm.. make it out of polygons? or make it out of verticle strips?

If you don't know anything about OpenGL, investigate and experiment.

Check out the Nehe tutorials that Extron has excellently converted to BMAX. They're in the Showcase rather then in the main BMAX area. One of the lessons is of a poly deformation / sinus affair, might be what your looking for. And well worth reading the main Nehe website, lots of OpenGL explanations. There's also some tutorials in the BMAX tutorials threads. Sorry havent got the links to hand.
