Really very nice. Crashed to desktop a few times after the loading screen at first, but it seems to work when choosing the same resolution as my desktop and fullscreen or windowed 1024x768.

Cannot select DirectX for some reason.

Vista/MacBook/Geforce 8600M GT.

Laptime 28.646

johnnyfreak(Posted 2008) [#3]
very nice. I think it's useful another camera view behind the kart.

degac(Posted 2008) [#4]
good.
I can run it only in window mode...

Volker(Posted 2008) [#5]
Runs fine here. Windowed, full screen, different resolutions.
Cannot select directx too.
I have no sound on both choices.

simonh(Posted 2008) [#6]

loved it i think you should slide around the turns a little more though, I race the real thing on dirt it slides a lot but on paved tracks you still get a little slide around turns in this it seemed to grip right to the track.

Awesome work...

AMD Athlon 64 2Ghz 3 Gig Ram
Nvida e geForce 8800 GT - 512 MB DDR3

20.2 sec 1680x1050 res lap 3

stayne(Posted 2008) [#12]
Very cool, not much time to test yet but I did notice the camera zoom should maybe be adjusted a bit to alleviate the tunnel effect.

This is very very nice. Super smooth
I love go-karting in real life. It's good fun

I know a few additions which would make this killer

1) Inside helmet cam (as done in Test Drive Unlimited - with the Motorbike)
2) Vibration - The faster you go the more visible vibration that appears
3) Head tilt - Again, the faster you take corners the more you lean your head into the bend .. just like the real thing
4) Tire screeching when cornering hard

Fastest lap (lap 3 with autopilot) = 20:244
FPS = 60 (even with Dream / Glow)

Keep it up!

I don't know about you, but I ain't seeing any difference in the last two images.
They seem to be the same exact images, just renamed.

klepto2(Posted 2008) [#16]
Take a closer look and you see much more detail in the scene, espacially at the vehicle. More shadows etc. The background doesn't profit so much because it is too dark to see the real difference, but the vehicle shows them perfectly.

iroker, really nice. Do you want to share some code ;)

plash(Posted 2008) [#17]
Ahh.. There it is! Not much showing in this scene.
