How do I get animated models into OpenB3D or MiniB3D?

I've tried converting between lots of different formats to try and keep the animations intact, but no matter what I do they come out as static models, in both OpenB3D and MiniB3D.

I'm using Maya 2015 and there doesn't seem to be any B3D exporter for it.
So in the end I've had to export as one format from Maya 2015, like DAE of FBX, import it to Blender, and then export from Blender to B3D.
But the B3D file is always just a static model.
Same with 3DS files it seems.

So how do I get my DAE or FBX files into animated B3D files?

Hi,

If you're serious about your game I'd advise you to buy Ultimate Unwrap:
http://www.unwrap3d.com/u3d/index.aspx

It will convert almost any format to b3d (or to any other format for that matter) and has several handy features.

Yea, hate to say it but i've only ever had luck getting animated b3d models in minib3d and monkeyminib3d using ultimate unwrap.

I wish there was a simple free tool instead.

Well, since you're using Maya:
One month of Maya will buy you approximately 5 perpetual licenses of Ultimate Unwrap :)
