wxMax + Ubuntu + wxMenu = Nothing?

Hi guys, recently I decided to go on programming a little bit BlitzMax and wxMax and so installed it again, downloaded wxMax via SVN and tried the examples. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04. The problem is, that all examples including a menubar do work though, but do not show a menu bar at all. I get no errors but there's just no menu bar.

oh my god, how embarrassing. I have installed a GNOME extension that removes the menu bar from the windows and displays it on a special panel. I did not think about that while testing. So it works - no problems at all.

It's good to know that wxMax works properly with GNOME extensions :-)
