ReadString help

In Blitz 3D I was loading a file with Readstring with the following code.

wp1=OpenFile("C:\Documents And Settings\john\Desktop\BlitzSTuff\Exported\rt5\rt5_DP.dat")
While Not Eof(wp1)

  kwp$=ReadString(wp1)
  kx#=ReadFloat(wp1)
  ky#=ReadFloat(wp1)
  kz#=ReadFloat(wp1)

  gwp$=ReadString(wp1)
  gx#=ReadFloat(wp1)
  gy#=ReadFloat(wp1)
  gz#=ReadFloat(wp1)

Wend
CloseFile wp1

I just cant get it to work in Blitzmax. I know you need to add length to ReadString or even use Readline. Any example of how to work this would be great.

The file is saved in notepad in the following format.
wp1 –Â ÈA pÁ wp2 –Â ÈA –Â

Thanks, helped me to understand it a bit more.

Sorted the poblem out now.
