I just updated to BMX 1.30. Tried to rebuild the MaXML module using bmk. This produces an error.
Compiling:maxml.bmx
sh: line 1: as: command not found
Build Error: Failed to assemble /Applications/BlitzMax/mod/pub.mod/maxml.mod/.bmx/maxml.bmx.debug.macos.x86.s


My system is MacOS X 10.4.11. MaXML is 2.22. I have not made any tests on Win or other versions of OSX yet.

It appears that you don't have XCode installed?

You need the XCode developer tools to be able to compile anything on Mac.

Thanks, Brucey! Yes, that was the problem! I'm on a new machine and forgot to intsall it. Please, move this topic to lame-ass beginner questions. ;-)
