How do I instal/Make work newton?

Dreamora(Posted 2007) [#2]
Without a wrapping module it won't work.
And for 2D its quite a little useless as 3d physics tend to be irriational on 2D.

Had a look at physLite and the like?

Using Joshes Newton wrapper, how do I install/Make work Newton?

Not physlite no. Wanted to use Tok. but cannot get it to work in bmax. Im in the middle of D/L PhysX, but I seemed to have most of the newton stuff needed. (Wraper, minGW build, current Newton download)

For joshs you need to put the a files of newton into the lib folder and the dll into the exes folder, that should be enough.

Damb, I was hopeing it was more complicated than that, cos Ive done that, and it doesnt work.

Oh, well, thanks dream.

What exactly does not work?
Are you correctly initializing it etc?

Are you correctly initializing it etc
Nope, I dont think I was ;(
The command I thought was the Init command (NewtonCreate)turn out it wasnt, now that Ive gotten a StartNewton in there it compiles. Havent actualy writen anything yet to see if it works, but it compiles.
