Reading special characters from textfiels

Hi all, im noob to BlitzMax and i dont know how to read those characters from textfiles.

I΄ve looked on the forums and there are examples to read russian characters, but how about letters with accents? like "αινσϊλβ". i cant read those from a textfile. Any help is very welcome. Thanks :)

Well i belive i΄ve just solved that problem. I had to load a font first and then set it before displaying text on screen, because the default blitz font doesnt display them...lol how dumb :)

BTW, im using BMax to teach myself the basics of programming, I used DarkBasic and DarkBasicPro and toyed around in blitz3d trial version and BMax for some months until i got BMax and started a project for "work" since april. But now I want to enter a contest for indie videogame developers in my country ill be asking a lot of questions in the comming months hehe hope i find some advices. Cheers to all.
