unhandled exception when syncronizing

BlitzMax Forums/BlitzMax Beginners Area/unhandled exception when syncronizing

A couple of days ago, I bought a laptop(Vista in case that makes a difference) and tried installing Blitz. Once I get 1.18 in and upgraded to 1.24, I try synchronizing modules, and that runs fine until it hits Max2D where it crashes with an "unhandled exceptions error."

Note that I had a couple of problems in getting to this point. At one time, I upgraded to 1.2 and attempted sychronizing where I recvieved the same error except at a different place, one of the DX modules I believe.

I'm probably missnig something simple. If anyone has any advice, I'd apreciate it.

John

Works fine here, not really advice, but stating it worked without problems on my vista! :)

P.S. Have you updated Vista yet,on the off chance

No, I haven't updated Vista. Do I need to?

I eventually got Blitz moving again by copying the 1.24 files from a friend, so I guess I'm ok for now.

Thanks,
John

it would be wise,i had trouble with sound and a quick windows vista update sorted it.anyway, its better to keep the system patched,i imagine that currently, dodgy coders will be working non stop to find holes in the new OS,which they will!
