Maybe this is a problem already resolved, but I can't find the solution! I have some .ogg files (7-10 Kb each one). With WinAmp they play ok. When I try to play with Bmax, the program crashes. The first idea was: a bad ogg file. I opened Audacity, loaded the ogg file, saved it as a wave, reloaded it and finally resaved as the new .ogg. Same problem. Only changing the 'quality compression' (in Audacity) to 10 (max quality - lowest compression) I have resolved the problem. The question - now - is: is the Bmax .ogg loader module 'safe'? Do I need to convert ALL the .ogg files I find or create to the max quality? Is it normal? [edit] I created a new sound files from scratch and this works with ANY compression level... Maybe my OGG files are corrupted... |

I had the same problem. Small ogg files and quality set to 0 (lowest quality). BMX crashed when trying to open those files. Increasing quality solved the problem (I didn't have to go with max quality). Roman |
