Exactly what versions of OS X does BMAX 1.10 support?

have you deleted and reinstalled it with a sync mod when 1.09 came out?
There are some problems with "installing it over" 1.06 on all OSes

It should work with 10.3 (panther) and 10.4 (tiger), maybe even 10.2 as well.

It works with 10.4 and xcode 2 for starts ...

BlitzMax works with Jaguar, Panther and Tiger and will probably work on Leopard. BlitzMax doesn't work on Cheetah and Phoema.

I had not problem with the demos under 10.2.8 with the regular XCode from Apple Dev Page.
