Just got to say one thing!!! - WOW!!!, looks lovely, can't wait to see this finally be released, a long wait, and a great tool for BMax, and even Blitz3D :)

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#3]
..I think just about same time when Mark finish his 3D thingy, will pop up many other solutions...I guess it will be very funny to see all that at once..

Dreamora(Posted 2008) [#4]
great to see life in it again. Already feared that it vanished :)

Beaker(Posted 2008) [#5]
I can't get any samples to run. I read the readme.txt file, followed all the instructions etc. Everything looks like it is in the right place, but I get a "userlib not found" error on the xAppTitle command. It's highlighted by the IDE, so I don't know what is wrong. :/

Any ideas?

chi(Posted 2008) [#6]
place both .dll´s in the same folder as your .bb file. the readme told you to put them to blitz3d\bin, but that makes no sense...

Beaker(Posted 2008) [#7]
I already tried that, and putting them in my userlibs folder. No luck!

MikhailV(Posted 2008) [#8]
@Beaker: Install last version of DirectX9...

Beaker(Posted 2008) [#9]
Ok, will do after the weekend. Thanks. :)

Is there a way to purchase this engine ? or not ?

Nop, Xors3D is in beta stage.

Has anyone got the PhysX wrapper to use the new geforce hardware acceleration? The wrappers hardware examples only run in software for me.

gameproducer(Posted 2008) [#13]
Just checked out this... looks awesome.

KimoTech(Posted 2008) [#14]

As far i know, it does only work on GF 260 GTX and up cards .. :/

Also works on 8/9 Series...

The PhysX wrapper still doesn't support the latest drivers. But Render says it will be in the next update.

Happy Sammy(Posted 2008) [#16]
I asked when there will be an update of PhysX wrapper in official forum.
http://rubux.net/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=30&func=showcat&catid=16
Render said that PhysX wrapper will be updated after Xors3d finish.

elcoo(Posted 2008) [#17]
Darn! The site is down again! Why is rubux always hacked by someone?

_33(Posted 2008) [#18]
I am eagerly waiting for a commercial version of Xors3D. Any progress so far?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#19]
..they are preparing first comercial release..it should be out in 1-2 weeks

_33(Posted 2008) [#20]
I think Xors3D + BlitzMax + Fast libs will be a nice combination (speed + ease of use). Not yet sure which IDE to use with BlitzMax thoe... One that works a bit like the Blitz3D one but more modern of course. Also would be cool if the Xors3D could handle CSG operations. :P

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#21]
..i have tried it over my levels, and its really working fast and smooth..shadowmapping also working so nice, with specular bump maps, levels really looking way better..cant wait to buy it..

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#22]
is it stable on different systems/hardware? This is one of the benefits of B3D - i need that in a new engine too, otherwise the engine is useless for me. but i have to admit, it looks pretty cool and appealing ;)

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#23]
..so far its working very well on everything I have (5600, 6600,7600GT,8800GT)..i havent tested on ATI so i cant say for that side..all my levels working just fine and with just simple addition such as specular bump map..things really looking way better..im playing now with nVidia FX composer and trying to implement provided shaders with xors3d..

_33(Posted 2008) [#24]
Works fine on my 8800GTS, my ATI HD4850 and my old X850.

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#25]
ah cool, i think this would be my dreamcombo: b3d + xors3d. anyone having "older" cards to test this engine on (maybe integrated ones)?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#26]
..i think you dont need lower than my 5600 regarding nVidia...and i do agree with you..its really working fine and like a charm with most of the things I was waiting so long..

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#27]
i just wanted to test stability on those old cards (not the speed). hmm i MUST check this engine out ;)

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#28]
i can't register. the registration form does not work for me. strange?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#29]
thats weird..how come??

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#30]
i tried ff3 & opera, when i click the send-button, nothing happens. same at the contact page. do i have to use lame IE?

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#31]
..i have no idea..everything went fine when I did it with FF3..

_33(Posted 2008) [#32]
The lack of news is saddening me. Hopefully this Xors3D project will get finalized so I can start over my game project with it.

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#33]
..yeah..i have no way to finish Horde3D wrapper for what i wanted and game at same time im aiming at, so for me, best solution is Xors3D but its still no news..I hope it will pop up soon...

t3K|Mac(Posted 2008) [#34]
me 2. but i have an eye on nuclear basic - should pop up soon too. hot race ;)
