Does anyone have a snazzy startup menu that allows the user to choose from a range of resolutions (including widescreen) and which is free to use and customisable?

If you're referring to Mark's standard start code sample, I was really looking for something a bit more sophisticated.

(I see there's also a start gadget from Rob (I think - I'm at work at the moment and can't check).

Well, you can always use a free GUI like Devil GUI to create kinda like a launcher window, where you customize the screen resolution, possible special effects, music volume, etc, and universalize it for all your applications. It's a bit of work, but could be fun\useful.

Alternatively you could use VB6 or VB.net - i think you can maybe get express versions for free now from MSoft, and make a GUI which will write to an .ini file - the GUI can then run your executable, your executable reading the .ini file for it's parameters. Kinda the same as Kryzon's idea.
