Easytok: Using hinge-joint to make object '2D' ?

I'm trying to setup an object to behave as thought it were 2D by giving it a hinge joint. However, I can't seem to get the hinge + object to fall under gravity.

I'm using Easytok, here are the settings I have given the objects:

[JOINT=JOINT01] [CONNECT=1] [BODYA=BOX01] [TYPE=3] [DAMPING=30] [LIFE=20]

[RBOX=BOX01] [MASS=30] [TYPE=2]

I've tried all sorts of things, including sticking a seperate object in the scene (inside the cube) and joining the joint to this, but this didn't work either. Any ideas how I can create a hinge that pays attention to gravity?

Sorry but can you clarify the question ? because i don't
understand what do you want to do ? you want attach objects
but each part are not afflicted by gravity ?

Try to look example :

Beginning - Ship 01.bb

You can see how i have attach wings to ship.
