Edit: I had posted the .decls and some example code for the SQLite 3 database engine here. I've since written some wrapper functions and the whole lot can be found in my Worklog entry.

Brilliant! I've been hoping someone would do this. Do you know if the files (the databases) are binary compatible with php 5's SqLite files? ( http://dk2.php.net/sqlite )

No real idea I'm afraid - the list of functions available looks quite different but that doesn't necesarily mean that the binaries won't be compatible.

Ok, thanks. I hope to test it sometime in the future. Seems like a cool way to share information to a website.
