free physics?

Blitz3D Forums/Blitz3D Userlibs/free physics?

Kalisme(Posted 2005) [#1]
ok... I hear that the Tokamak physics engine is dying out (or has)... There's a Tokomak2 but I heard that it wont be free (or will it?) So... (to my question) is there an alternative physics engine that I can use through blitz that (like tokamak) is free?

ODE is free unless you buy the ODE wrapper mentioned at the top of this forum.

Well, Arkon's ODE Wrapper is still free, and he has corrected the bugs. The only problem about Arkon's wrapper is that has nos all the ODE original funcs, but most of them!

You have Newton as well.

I believe someone wrapped some of it's commandset a while ago but I guess alot has happened since then.

www.trueaxis.com
trueaxis looks awesome so far but is only for free for non-commercial use.

I did, but didn't even try it, so most probably it doesn't work.

Newton blows.

Tom(Posted 2005) [#7]
blows because...?

Didn't you have a run in with it's author, or was that all a joke?

I don't think there's been a proper wrapper for this physics library for B3D so I haven't used it, but from what I've read it's supposed to be pretty fast & accurate.

JoshK(Posted 2005) [#8]
I had a run-in with the author because the author is an idiot, and it required me to crush his balls.

your like a kid whos friend said his dad was better then yours halo.

sad

Nobody(Posted 2005) Edit [#10]
I remember the whole "halo & newtonphysics" thingy...
twaz quite funny... wasn't the forum locked due to the amount of swearing in it?
Has anyone tried this "arkon ODE"?

I cant find the free version of Arkons wrapper that is bug free.
