On your computer I have installed Win 7 and Win xp 64 bit with the appropriate drivers. Can anyone explain to me why the programs in the system are almost twice more efficient for BlitzMax xp-for example, by running the file "shadow Image" in 1920 x 1080 in Win 7 I have a 60 fps up to 1600 objects (ships) and Win XP more than 2200!All

The drivers both Win 7 and Win XP are certified

Probably because the graphics card settings on one have v-sync disabled, but the other does not.

Well, first, thanks for the quick response. As for the topic I like rummaging through the factory settings never (the default), or it will be the same System or video card, or an application. I checked what you have entered -unfortunately-NOTHING-is exactly the same.

Graphics card is:

GeForce GT 230M

on win XP, BlitzMax literally goes crazy on win 7 mussels already by 1600 objects

It's definitively a VSync issue. It has nothing to do with the OS. try using Flip(0) instead of just Flip in your sample and compare again.
