Hello,

its already a few years ago since I was here. I have buyed a new pc some days ago and wanted to test my old Blitz3d gamedemos i worked on in the past. But on not one of this demos the shadows are working anymore :( Im using the ashadow library for this. Has anyone the same problems or has a tip how to fix this?

Last time they worked was on my old dualcore with geforce gt8800 on windows xp64

Now Im using I7 2600 with geforce 460 on windows7

If the ashadow lib is not anymore working on new systems, wich other shadow lib can you suggest?

I don't really know much about AShadow, but I thought it was unsupported/abandoned nowadays? So you may have some problems with that.

Shadows are one of the ongoing hot topics in B3D. There's an epic thread about them in this very forum, detailing all of the currently known major methods: http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=92901

Anyway, for it looks like the place to keep an eye out at the moment is this Userlibs thread: http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=94413

Looks like the next FastExt version may have a very nice shadow system indeed. FastExt is a good general-purpose library to have around.
