Can't even get the IDE to run - it just pops up a messagebox telling me that DirectX 7.0 isn't installed.

Has anyone else had this and resolved it?

Thanks

Have you updated to the latest version?

Are you running this on a desktop or laptop.

I know that on certain laptops, (Tablet PCS) Blitz3d doesn't run. It had a problem with the handwritng programs. If you had turned this option off, Blitz programs would run.

Hi,

Thanks for the responses.

I'm fully updated, and Vista is fully patched.

I'm running on a desktop.

Full message I get is...

Blitz Basic Error

You must have DirectX version 7 installed to run Blitz Basic.

DirectX 7 is provided on the Blitz Basic CD in the DirectX7 folder.

The latest version of DirectX is available from www.microsoft.com

Try installing DX9.0c from the Microsoft website.
