Can Blitz 3D load a .BSP file?

GfK(Posted 2008) [#2]
yes.

LoadBSP()

What program would you sugest to create a .bsp?

Tobo(Posted 2008) [#4]
I used to use one for desiging HalfLife levels. If you can find it, WorldCraft (not the game) was very good. I think it's called Hammer now, but I don't know if that can create BSPs you could use.

Naughty Alien(Posted 2008) [#5]
GTK Radiant can create/export BSP you are looking for..

Knight #51(Posted 2008) [#6]
OK. Well I'll try both.........

Knight #51(Posted 2008) [#7]
Nice, thanks guys.

p.s do you know if MilkShape3d 1.7.8 can export bsp's?

GfK(Posted 2008) [#8]
Well, the latest version can't, and since your version is about 3 years old, that probably can't either.

Nate the Great(Posted 2008) [#9]
what exactly is a bsp

Rroff(Posted 2008) [#10]
I can't really reccomend using milkshape3d for making levels... but you can export a model from it to .map format and then use q3map2 or a similiar compile tool to create a bsp...

I don't reccomend using bsps in blitz tho as they are far too limited to be useful.

Knight #51(Posted 2008) [#11]
What do you recomend to use to create levels in Blitz 3D then???

Nate the Great(Posted 2008) [#12]
blender or 3ds max or your own program that you design just for that game. I personally like designing a program to help me position objects in my game that way it is more flexible and cutom made.

Knight #51(Posted 2008) [#13]
HOW THE HECK DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN MODELER??????????????????????????

Nate the Great(Posted 2008) [#14]
not your own modeler.

Just make a terrain and all of your objects seperately in some modeler and then make a program so you can place them without too much hastle

Oh. Ok. I just started a new forum like 232 seconds ago. I think it's right above this one.
