Does anyone know where to find this tool? http://www.blitzbasic.com/toolbox/toolbox.php?tool=64 The links are broken, but I need this (or something like this) for using animated meshes, which I have exported from Blender. Hope for Help |

yes, email him... |

I think it's from stickman, not sure of his mail adress. This is just another example of content loss. Although listed in the toolbox: http://www.blitzbasic.co.nz/toolbox/toolbox.php?tool=64 the file has vanished not only on idigicon servers, but also here (respectively the free webspace it was hosted on). A longtime project blitz file asylum is required IMHO, I already made this whish clear to the sysadmins. I've got the file on a backup and I'll eventually upload it to my webspace the sooner or later, tho I cannot host each and every file. |

Ok, here it is, note: I have to backtunnel these files trough tons of firewalls, OSes, Machines and stuff, so I am tired of it: http://www.melog.ch/dl/DX8-B3D_1.04.zip EDIT of course, how DC said you may email him instead. I'm only afraid email adresses suffer of about the same inconsistency as webspace. Most people are not that enduring as EG. iana.org or so :) |

Thanks a lot. @DC: I've emailed him allready. But he don't answers. |

i have enough webspace for a blitz file asylum - if the admins won't do that, i can. |

Cool. Do you think your server will be there for >5 years or so? It's gonna be a lot of work to collect all the existing files. Maybe we needed some kind of system (eg. parsing the forum for releases systematicly). Maybe all important releases should be listed, also the files that are not found yet. So people could provide missing files. I'd help to collect files of course. Well I'm talking about tools and utilities and also sourcecode and libs that are highly useful. Games only when they come with good sourcecode. BTW didn't we discuss the voice-pool project/idea some time ago? A shame we were only 3 ppl. But this one seems more like something for "the average blitzer". |
