Can 3ds and dbo anims be converted to b3d and still work?

Ask in the b3d forum

As noted, this should really be in the B3D forums.

When you say 3DS, I'm going to assume Max files with animation rather than the static 3DS files that most applications generate. There is an excellent Max pipeline available. Click on the Links menu above and go to the pipeline.

As for DBO, I believe Milkshape and GameSplace have import/export functionality that could work.

The topic got moved from the BlitzMax forum! Just thought I'd point that out. Can't answer the question myself though, sorry!

Sorry for the blunder. Bad eyesight. Still like an answer though.

Blitz3d directly supports animated .3ds formats that use hierarchial mesh animation so you can just load the animated .3ds directly.
You can convert from animated .dbo to .b3d using Fragmotion.
