Careful skyfire, make sure that everyone knows you're joking.

Does anyone have a link to the free (magazine) version of Cinema4D?

SheepOnMintSauce(Posted 2006) [#16]
There's a free version of Realsoft 3D 4.5 on this month's (issue 75) 3D World magazine. Not sure how good it is though, but it does export to 3ds. I'll have a look through my back issues of 3D World magazine for a free version of Cinema4D as well.

*EDIT* There's a demo of Cinema4D at issue 62, but that was as far back as I got with that.

BIG BUG(Posted 2006) [#18]
There is a B3D-exporter:
Download for Cinema4D Release 6/7(450kB):
http://www.mein-murks.de/software/B3DExport.zip
Download for Cinema4D Release 8/9(450kB):
http://www.mein-murks.de/software/B3DExport_Rel89.zip

There is no english documentation yet, so here are the most important features:
Texturemapping(UV-Tag has to be assigned to every object), Animation(Position/Scale/Rotation), Bones

Important: Only polygonobjects are exported with surface. The others are exported as pivot.
So use "Make editable" on every object before export.

To use this plugin, just extract the zip file into your Cinema4D\Plugins-directory.

smilertoo(Posted 2006) [#19]

Pete Carter(Posted 2006) [#20]
