If you using 3DSMAX, you should flip normals in EDITABLE MESH moditier..before that you should just right click on to your box level mesh, then choose CONVERT TO EDITABLE MESH and then EDITABLE MESH modifier will appear on right side of your toolbox (vertical)..within toolbox click on ELEMENT icon (red box icon) in order to access all surfaces on your boxy level, and then slide down and click on to FLIP button...all normals will be oriented properly and your collision within Blitz3D will work as you expect..this will work in both cases, you using 3DS, X or B3D export format over B3D pipeline...enjoy..
