Why are my b3d models made in Milkshape apear inside-out.

Not the whole thing but the each individual primitives used.
So no, FlipMesh will not correct it. Any ideas on this???

I have a lot of models made in Milkshape, exported as B3D - they don't appear inside out.
Can you be more specific?
Are you then texturing them elsewhere?

Well I just finished a nice model of a M-16 rifle. And I used different primitives for each part (ie. Barel, Clip, Body, Handle, Stock) and all those shaped primitives apear inside out them selfs, its very bassakwards. I'll upload a screenie in a few minuets.

Er... I can hardly see anything in your pic.

Do you want to post the modal and I'll take a look at it.

Have you tried UpdateNormals on the model? It looks like the normals are screwed.

Baystep Productions(Posted 2005) [#7]
I shall try that and If it doesn't work I'll try a better sceenie. :)

okay, that didn't work either, and my host won't upload ms3d files. So if you think you need it to help, email me at jackrackam@...

Can't you just use the 'Face to Front' menu item (having highlighted everything first)?

You really shouldn't post .bmp's. Change that image into a .jpg and it will load an awful lot quickier, and save bandwidth.

We really need both the model and the code you are using to view the model. If geocities won't let you post a zip file, try some other file hosting place, like yousendit (send it to yourself, and then post the download link.)
