can you use text files with datapacker?
e.g. creating them reading,etc.

TeraBit(Posted 2005) [#2]
Pretty much any files can be TeraPacked / Unpacked.

GfK(Posted 2005) [#3]
I think he's talking about creating a text file within a datapak file through Blitz, which, afaik, can't be done?

slenkar(Posted 2005) [#4]
yes thats it, creating files that the user cant touch,
has many possible uses, but it doesnt seem possible

Snarkbait(Posted 2005) [#5]
Use a bank.

TeraBit(Posted 2005) [#6]
You can create DataPaks via blitz. The functions are included to do it. The GUI packer is a more of an add on.

You may just as well use a bank and scramble it yourself for simple text files.

@SnarkBait - Hey, long time no see!

Hey Lee! Yeah, I'm back at Blitz after a three year break... got some neat stuff in the works ;)

TeraBit(Posted 2005) [#8]
Three years eh? <takes out complimentary BlitzBasic walking stick> I remember when..

slenkar(Posted 2005) [#9]
can you append files to the .exe that is currently running?

if not do any of the tools at www.blitztools.de.vu
do this?

RifRaf(Posted 2005) [#10]
anyone figure out how to load from a bank? otherwise
nomatter what you do do protect your media, you still have
to write it to disk before you can load it into blitz.
for example. loadmesh() if anyone can tell me how to
load from bank , ill pay you for the information

slenkar(Posted 2005) [#11]
a lot of people were asking for that feature so it probably cant be done
