Wow, that is all VERY impressing! I think these are some of the very first visual demonstrations of Blitz3D capabilities! Congratulations to you all, very amazing indeed. Finally someone has done normalmapping properly, at least from what i can tell.

Only the morphcity download is complicated to get to (needs registration) and the link is very slow now.

Filax(Posted 2004) [#3]
many thanks :)

BlitzSupport(Posted 2004) [#4]
Yeah, really good stuff!

jhocking(Posted 2004) [#5]
Is that all really done in Blitz? Very cool!

ADDITION: Where's the rest of the Mind Control demo? Those are some really cool screenshots, but the download doesn't have that stuff.

sswift(Posted 2004) [#6]
Holy crap Filax!

Buh...

Okay I'm just going to bash my head here on my desk a few times.

Thunk

Thunk

Thunk

...

Thunk.

That SYNCRONIZ demo is so awesome! I bow before your vastly superior artistry. I haven't seen demo art that impressed me that much since I saw "The Popular Demo".

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=9450

I still like the popular demo more because I love the music in it, but your demo maintains a much higher framerate and is much prettier and more visually complex than the popular demo by far. On art your demo kicks it's ass, but in music and "story" the Popular demo still wins in my book.

And here I thought you just made nice looking GUIs. :-)

You want me to enter the contest after seeing that? There IS NO CONTEST! I can't best that!

"Good work" just doesn't say it. :-)

Caff(Posted 2004) [#7]
Awesome artwork, I believe the french community have a real flair for this stuff :)

Red(Posted 2004) [#8]
Blitz3D is not yet dead
Really !! :)

BlitzSupport(Posted 2004) [#9]

And here I thought you just made nice looking GUIs. :-)

Check out his other stuff:

Lousy talent-hogger!

Tom(Posted 2004) [#10]
Cool visuals!

Picklesworth(Posted 2004) [#11]
I'm so jealous...
Should have taken French immersion...

Amazing job there, the French Blitz community is awesome!

danjo(Posted 2004) [#12]
filax's dancing robot is amazing!

Kanati(Posted 2004) [#13]
first one was unbelievably boring. I cancelled out of that one after it got to the poser model...

The naos one and mind control were both very good with Naos I think edging you out by a hair. But the robot nearly made up the difference. :)

The last one... eh... very nice effect, but it was a one trick pony and went on far too long for it.

Kanati

jfk EO-11110(Posted 2004) [#14]
Very cool. Forget the freedom fries, the french rule, no doubt.

Ross C(Posted 2004) [#15]
:D Excellent stuff. This should be an official gfx demo for Blitz3D. Good work man!

Filax(Posted 2004) [#16]
Many many many thanks for your comments !!!

it's malignant, I'm crying now !! :) snif

Blitz3dfr.com wishes you a merry christmas 2004 :)

Panno(Posted 2004) [#17]
cool work !

sswift(Posted 2004) [#18]
Kanati:
Mind Control edging Filax's demo out by a hair? Are you insane?!

I just watched it and it doesn't even come close to Filax's demo. :-)

/Going to watch filax's demo again right now!

Filax(Posted 2004) [#19]
For information the : Mind Control demo is not totaly released
ther is just the 3 effects ! final coming soon.

Clyde(Posted 2004) [#20]
Looks awesome mate!
Welldone All :)

ronbravo(Posted 2004) [#21]
Really nice job.

Picklesworth(Posted 2004) [#22]
The mind control one is great. I love the thing with a bunch of strands of hair, going down a tunnel :) I actually sat there for a few seconds and wanted more!

Naughty Alien(Posted 2004) [#23]
mmm..I'm wondering, will we be able to see sources of any of this demos...cool...

Clyde(Posted 2004) [#24]
I cant get on with downloading the First Entry. Is there an alternative means to get hold of it, as it looks equally amazing. It asks alsorts of registering questions.

TartanTangerine (was Indiepath)(Posted 2004) [#25]
I am stuck for words Filax, amazing stuff.

I'd like to know who well it runs on a low spec machine :)

wedoe(Posted 2004) [#26]
The first one (MORPH CITY) is impossible to control and I get memory access violation when I press F11, well, utterly boring anyway.

SYNCRONIZ looks good (a lot better than what I could have done) but it's not that hard to program, else what Kanati said !

The two "landscape" demos from BlitzSupport's link are very pretty.
I swam away from the island for a long time but there seems to be no border ??

xmlspy(Posted 2004) [#27]
Make sure you guys post it on www.scene.org

Nice stuff.

Filax(Posted 2004) [#28]
Thanks for the link :)

maximo(Posted 2004) [#29]
Filax thanks for sharing, very cool stuff man!

regaa(Posted 2004) [#30]
I want to take a look on this stuff, but it doesnt run :(.

I can only see the FPS Counter, and the part 1/10 text.

Are there any special requirements?

Filax(Posted 2004) [#31]
I have made my demo on a Geforce 4 4200 card ? what's your config?

regaa(Posted 2004) [#32]
Mobility Radeon 16MB
P3 1000Mhz
512MB RAM

, but i'll try it home.

Bouncer(Posted 2004) [#33]
That filax's demo was da bomb!

regaa(Posted 2004) [#34]
Awesomest demo ever made in Blitz. Im at home right now. :)

Abrexxes(Posted 2004) [#40]
Hot stuff !!!

(Mais merde, ma Radeon9600pro me done même sur 1280*1024 80> fps(SYNCRONIZ). J`aurais pas cru que ca serai possible avec B3D dans cette qualité.)

Yes, Red Ocktober! VIVE LA FRANCE

Filax(Posted 2004) [#41]
For a better synchronisation look this in 800/600 linux :)

Clyde(Posted 2004) [#42]
Some more additions, wicked gonna check them out :)

puki(Posted 2004) [#43]
.

_PJ_(Posted 2004) [#44]
I dont really ever look at demos, they all have a kind of 'seen it all before' thing about them, but this... This really caught my eye - I'm more than impressed! Excellent stuff!

This is the kinda stuff needed to market B3d as well as being absolutely amazing in its own right!

BlackJumper(Posted 2004) [#45]
**Blackjumper scrapes jaw off floor in order to hang head in shame**

Wow! I couldn't get at all of these demos, but filax's in particular was astounding.

I think I should go back to Windows programming - that way I could blame the API for the naffness of what I produced. B3D clearly rocks !!

- SPOKE -(Posted 2004) [#46]
Only one word : "Wonderfull" !!!!!
