Does this mean the Quake3 editors can be used to
create levels for a game without id's liscensing concerns?

Editors have never been the problem, using IDs map compiling tools has. I'm guessing if this thing compiles maps, then it could be a license free solution to using Q3 maps in Blitz3D.

Ripped from the site:
OpenBSP = Open-source improved BSP compiler. You can compile Quake3 Brush Primitives, Classic Quake and Doom3 map files

if it is "improving" the id compiler, then is not usable in comercial projects...if it's not basing in any id tool, but just making from scratch a bsp compiler (the format is free) then can be used for comercial.

btw, qeradiant and gtk radiant are not allowed to use for comercial projects. And there was no other q3 bsp compiler free for comercial. Maybe this one? Have not checked...

the only quake3 level editor (yet would need a compiler) free for comercial projects is Quark.
